Make sure you have all of your irrigation systems ready to go!

1. To supply water delivery for beneficial use within the District and to lands specially contracted outside the District, while providing essential irrigation services.
2. To maintain and operate the water delivery facilities in the most efficient manner, at the least possible cost, on an ongoing basis, ensuring optimal performance.
3. To encourage water conservation practices that promote sustainable use of our resources.
The Oroville-Tonasket Irrigation District is accepting applications for the position of District Treasurer.
The District Treasurer is responsible for the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the District and works closely with the District Manager and Board of Directors. This position is a great fit for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Bi-weekly payroll processing and required reporting
• Bank and investment account reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly financial reports
• Cash receipts, deposits, and general accounting
• Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring
• Managing District investment accounts and fund transfers
• Washington State BARS accounting and annual SAO reporting
• Preparing and maintaining financial records for audits
• Assisting with policies, resolutions, and other District records
• General office and customer service duties as needed
Qualifications:
Previous accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or governmental accounting experience is preferred. Experience with Washington State BARS accounting, SAO reporting, or public-sector finance is a plus, but is not required.
Applicants should have strong computer skills, be comfortable learning accounting and payroll software, maintain confidentiality, meet reporting deadlines, and be able to work independently.
Training will be provided for District-specific procedures, software, reporting requirements, and governmental accounting processes.
Salary: DOE (Depending on Experience)
